Thor's Hammer

Oh Bryce Canyon, I can't even begin to say just how stunning this gem of a national park is. If you are anywhere near Zion National Park, Las Vegas, or Salt Lake City, please consider putting some time aside to visit here. Bryce is more out of the way than the more famous Zion, but I guarantee that it will be worth your while.

IMPORTANT: Entrance into the park is $25 per private vehicle. Make sure you keep the receipt that they give you because it is valid for up to a week.

We only hiked the Navajo Loop Trail, since we only had the day. This trail is categorized as 'moderate,' which makes sense, since going back up is difficult (stupid gravity). But still, just wow; even if you don't hike down all the way, I suggest going down the trail just a little because you are awarded with amazing views that you won't get from just the outlook point. Better yet, hike until you can get a great shot of the famous Thor's Hammer (pictured above).

The main attraction in Bryce in the Amphitheater, and there are several outlook points (the Navajo Loop Trail is at Sunset Point) where you can look at the Amphitheater. For my fellow nature enthusiasts, I would encourage you to hike the trails, there are several easy, moderate, and difficult trails, so you do you. In fact, even if you can't hike the moderate and difficult trails all the way, there's no rule saying that you can't hike part of it! Just have fun and enjoy the stunning views of a wonderful National Park!!
