The Gateway Arch is probably one of the coolest architectural masterpieces in the world. No matter what angle you look at it from, it is stunning. I would highly recommend taking a trip to the top of the arch for the best views of the St. Louis skyline and the Mississippi River. Now I'll be honest, St. Louis's skyline cannot compete with the likes of Chicago and there really isn't much to see. However, the view is still beautiful and worth your money.
Because the Gateway Arch is such a famous landmark, I would highly recommend purchasing your tickets in advance HERE. The tickets are sold on an hourly basis, meaning that you can only enter the arch during the time on your ticket, which is why purchasing one in advance will ensure that you can be on schedule. It was crowded on the top, however, I still managed to get some good shots of the skyline. Just be polite and patient!
