An Evening Stroll on Chicago's Navy Pier

It's almost impossible to go to Chicago without a visit to the famous Navy Pier. We actually didn't spend a lot of time on it. In fact, we were probably there for a grand total of twenty minutes. I know. I know. This is blasphemy, especially since there is so much to do on the Navy Pier. However, let me say this: going there in the evening is great because there weren't (at least during our visit) that many people (i.e. we weren't elbowing soccer moms). After a long day of sightseeing the hectic downtown area, having a nice walk with gorgeous views was really rejuvenating.

If you would just like to go there for the experience, then the evening right before the sun sets is a great time. Grab a drink at one of the bars, take selfies, go on a walk along the pier, and enjoy the beautiful colors of Lake Michigan. It's really pleasant (we should know, there was a five year old tagging along with us!).

Are there any recommendations that you guys have for an evening on the Navy Pier?
